On the road and missing breakfast.

Darlings,I travel a decent amount for work and while I actually don't mind it (well except for the flying, I hate the flying), the one thing that I really loathe is one too many meals away from my house.Especially breakfasts. My breakfasts are so important to me. I am so particular about my breakfasts.Weekday breakfasts are so important - they are the foundation of everything! And they need to be sturdy, delicious and full of nutrients. In the summers I love smoothies, but in the depths of winter, nothing packs a bigger punch than a yoghurt bowl. You get your calcium, vitamins A,C,D,B,E, antioxidants, omega 3, fiber and best of all everything tastes amazing.I start with a quarter cup of plain Greek yoghurt.IMG_2156And then I add my fruits - a kiwi (SKIN ON!) chopped up, a handful of berries and some frozen mango.
And then I add my superfoods - Chia seeds (they keep you hydrated and full!), Cacao Nibs (because they are breakfast chocolate), Coconut Flakes and a dash of cinnamon.IMG_2162I usually make this the night before, so I can grab it before I leave for work, and so all of the flavors can kind of intertwine with each other.I love fresh fruit for breakfast, it's such a treat.xoxolcf
